Mansion of General Zhang Family is located on the south side of the Palace Museum in Shenhe area, and is also called the Marshal Zhang's Mansion. It was constructed in 1912 and is in the traditional courtyard type construction. It is the Northeast China warlord, Zhang Zuolin's mansion.
The area is more than 16,000 square meters. More than three meters high of thick walls made with green bricks were built in every direction, the interior divided into the east and west courtyard. The east courtyard is of the three entrance central courtyard which was constructed for Zhang Zuolin. There were altogether 74 houses assuming the Chinese
character "Eye" glyph.

Three Romanesque green brick western-style multi-storied buildings were constructed on the northern part of thee garden and labeled as his "government office"; the first floor was for guests reception, receiving important Chinese and foreigners and deciding on important military matter; The second and the third floors are the work and the housing place.
There is a reception room in the center of the great green building. The hall is also called the "tiger hall†because it has two tigers specimens exhibited in it. The center courtyard of the third courtyard was originally the General Zhang's inner residence. Now, here is the place holding "General Zhang Xueliang Achievement Display".
